Physical Therapy Near You in Lakeview Chicago

About Lakeview

Impact Physical therapy is proud to now call Lakeview one of its homes! Located on the North Side of Chicago, Lakeview is an awesome place to visit and a better place to live. Don’t believe us? Money Magazine once named it of the best big-city neighborhoods to live in in the country. As the second largest community area in Chicago, it’s home to some of our favorite communities in Chicago, including Boystown, Wrigleyville, Wrigley Plaza, Southport Corridor, North Halsted, and Sheridan Station Corridor.

Nestled up to Lake Michigan, the area of Lakeview has always been a desired piece of real estate. At one point, it was home to the Miami, Ottawa and Winnebago Native Americans. European settlers first made a permanent settlement in 1853, when James Rees and Elisha Hundley were one of inaugural pairs to build Hotel Lakeview near West Byron Street and North Lake Shore Drive. Soon, the area became a popular destination for German, and Scandinavian immigrants.

So how do Lakeview’s diverse and awesome group of people have fun and stay active?

Things to do in Lakeview to Stay Active

Lakeview offers a wide variety of good times and activities for people of all ages, starting with the world-famous Wrigley Field, home to the Chicago Cubs. As a founding member of the NL in 1876, the Cubs have as long and storied a history in America’s Pastime as anyone. No longer lovable losers plagued by disappointment for a century, the Cubs recent championship has only strengthened the North Side’s love of everything blue, white, and cubs. Meanwhile, those who love the performing arts and a great night out find a haven in the Belmont Theater District. There, you can check out a variety of historic theaters, multi-stage venues, nightclubs, stores, and restaurants.

For those wanting to step away from the bustle of shops and food, make your way to Lakeview’s portion of Lincoln Park. Available here is beautiful hiking on the Lakefront Trail, great golfing, tennis courts, a boat harbor, and much, much more. It’s the perfect locale for those looking to train or just have a little outdoor fun.

Review Impact Physical Therapy On:

The therapists, support staff, and facilities at Impact Physical Therapy are all top notch. I've used other therapists in the past, but I'll never have to switch away from Shannon. Her ability to quickly diagnose and effectively treat what ails you is top notch (she's witty, too). You'll walk away feeling better in the moment, and come home with exercises to keep you right between visits. The facilities are spotless and contemporary. Everything is clean (unlike many many of the big name-brand physical therapy facilities), and all of their equipment is new and modern. It's right next to the Paulina Brown Line stop, and scheduling, insurance, and payment are a breeze - don't look anywhere else!

I saw Shannon for my piriformis as it was causing mild numbness into my hip and within two sessions of dry needling I had no numbness! She is skilled and knowledgeable. She also accommodated her schedule to meet my work schedule.

My husband recommended his physical therapist Lauren and I am happy he did. I’ve been in 3 times (in one week b/c my ankle sprain has been pretty painful) and I already feel so much better!! Don’t delay like I did, just call and they’ll pencil you in!!

Long overdue review. Lauren worked with me for 2 months last fall to help resolve my tennis elbow pain. She provided excellent care including deep tissue release, scraping, and ultrasound, as well as exercises to strengthen the muscles around the joint. Appointments are easy to schedule with desk staff, facilities are clean and well-maintained, and overall they provide a very comfortable environment for PT.

I've had a really good experience with Lauren - she does a great job of explaining the science behind the techniques we used, and I've definitely improved.
